Memorial Day Hijinks!

On Memorial Day, Julie and I went to Folsom Lake and tried our hand at riding the inner tube...needless to say, we were a bit unsuccessful. The coordination required was beyond our current athletic skill! We had a great time, though. After spending time at the lake, we went shopping with Malissa and Kali. Kali ended up with several necklaces...she loves to put them on and take them off, over and over again. It was amazingly cute and rather effective in keeping her entertained! - PAT

The Crafty Pat!

Since I've been missing Julie so much, and since we're getting close to the big day, I decided to make a count-down chain so that I can effectively keep track of how many days are remaining! My roommate Ken called me a dork, but I think it turned out well and it kept me busy ;) What it boils down to is the fact that I'm so excited I can barely stand it! Only 36 more days left!!! - PAT

Edumacated!

On April 27th and 28th, Julie graduated from BYU! It was nice to see family members and to realize that there really is a light at the end of the college tunnel. Julie will begin teaching middle school in the fall. Now I need to graduate and become a productive member of society! - PAT

Forced March!

In order to help me release some of the stress from my MCAT experience, Julie and I decided to hike the "Y" after I finished taking the test. I think that I set a rather fast pace...Julie was a bit tired about half-way up the hill (in her defense...she hadn't eaten anything all day)! I was extremely tired myself, but my pride prevented me from showing my exhaustion! In the end, we made it to the top and had a great time. - PAT

The Newest Addition to the Clan!

Julie and I drove from El Paso, Texas, to Yuma, Arizona, to see my brother David's new son, David James Scarborough, II, who was born on April 6. He's a cute little guy...he's also already a true, blue cougar (notice the BYU Cougar Kitten on his blanket in the picture where I am holding him)! He's a great baby. He likes to be included in the conversation...after all, he's the reason that everyone is visiting! Congrats to Dave and Maria! - PAT

Grading Papers at Midnight

The past few weeks have been extremely busy for me, and I've been staying up pretty late. As a result, most of the papers that I grade end up getting done late in the evening. Here I am "grading" papers for one of my sections...most of these grading sessions end with some pretty arbitrary grades assigned! Maybe Julie can lend a hand when she gets back ;) Only one more week to go! - PAT

Talking The Night Away

Several weeks ago a friend of mine provided me with a computer program that enables me to call Julie in Mexico for only 0.03 Euros a minute. It was an amazing gift, and I've been bothering her ever since! Here I am talking to her today (March 12). Fortunately, she will be back in only 26 days and then we can watch my productivity hit an all time low as I spend every waking moment with her! - PAT
