And We Catch Up Through August

I was able to get the rest of August's picture on this post.
8/24/2010
Andy sporting Mom's apron.
We had the pleasure of having Erin and the kids stay with us for several days while Phil was working in Manhattan. It was so fun!! I wish we did more of this. Now it will be hard since they are moving to California...unless we get to move to California, but we won't know that until December.

Our two adorable trouble makers.

Livy is very adventurous!

Andy liked picking these small grass flowers...

...and throwing them through the fence.

Livy saved up and bought an American Girl doll earlier that day.

Sam was all over the water park.
We have some stables about two miles from our apartments. Andy and I often walk over there. The last time we when he was so excited to ride the horses, he kept pointing to all the horses and saying "I ride." "I ride." So I paid for him to ride the pony. Unfortunately that day I forgot my camera. Livy loves horses so we visited the stables. I remembered my camera but this time Andy did not want to ride. Oh well.  Erin got some good shots of Livy and Sam riding the ponies.

Aren't they cute!

What excellent riders!

Thanking the ponies.
Tuesday mid morning we went to the farmer's market bought some snacks and headed to Orchard Beach to play in the water and sand. The kids had a great time.

We were really sad to see them go! This wraps up our August adventures. Now I just have to catch up on September.

The Business of Playing

After we returned home from Utah we got right back down to business... the business of playing that is. Andy is very into shoes these days...mom and dad's shoes especially.

Dad's flip flops.

Dad's old army boots apparently fit well too.
My, Andy what big feet you have.
We love to got to the New York Botanical Gardens with our friends. It was an extremely hot and humid day. I walked there pushing the stroller. I am not sure what I was thinking but we had a great time anyway.

Jana's Bubble were the High light of the trip.

The bubble maker.

All kids love Sierra!

Sharing the bubble wand with Kelsie.

Andy's turn.

Breyton's Turn.
We were able to talk Pat into going to the Central Park Zoo. I can't believe that this is the first time that we have visited the Central Park Zoo in three years.
8/07/2010
It takes work to look this beautiful!

Andrew's Favorite...the penguins!
Patrick must have been feeling very kind because the next week he also when to The Bronx Zoo with us, our friend Arianne also went.
8/14/2010
As tall as a tiger...almost.

Just a few more feet!

Arianne is like a big sister to Andy.

The bears were staying cool in the pool.

Andy did not like the Idea of the peacock stealing his food and kept saying no, no, no, no.
Then ended up sitting next to me.

My Beautiful Butterfly.

Cheese from the bug Carousal.

My two bug riders.

"The better to hear you with my dear."

Here is Andrew sporting this season's top fashion... metal mixing bowl hat, mom's old sunglasses and flip flops, and the vacuum cleaner walking stick.
Now I am half way through August, but there is still more to come.

A Few Pictures from the Christie Family Reunion

From California we drove to Utah for the Christie Family Reunion. I had high hopes of taking lots of pictures but chasing Andy prevented this from happening. Luckily other people were taking pictures, hopefully someone can compile them for the rest of us. These pictures were from my camera.

7/23/10
We visited the Bingham Canyon Copper Mine. It was amazing!

This tire is from one of the trucks! Almost all of the family is in this picture. I think we are just missing Jamie and Delhia.

Andy with my cousin's daughter. He was so excited to climb up on and sit in this cart.

 7/24/10
We stayed at a hotel at Thanksgiving Point. So we decided to walk around.
This machine was so cool you could pull levers, push button, etc. and water would shoot from different locations. It was right up Andrew's ally. He loved it!

We visited the Dinosaur Museum...well sort of. With four kids three under four we decided to enjoy the free exhibits and the gift shop.

Andy was bouncing his dinosaur ball all over the entrance room. And was looking forward to doing it some more after the picture was taken.

Ava discovering Aunt Debbie's Raspberries

Andy Enjoying the raspberries!
 7/25/10
Cousin's sharing popcorn before we went our ways.
It was so fun seeing everyone. I hope that it works out to do another reunion soon!

Wrapping Up Our California Trip

I figured it was about time that I finished posting our pictures from California. It includes random pictures playing with cousins, aunts, grandparents, and a visit to San Diego to see Patrick.
7/15/10

Andy loved playing With Granddad's Motorcycle Helmet and the baby doll stroller. He was often caught with both. He particularly liked pushing the stroller off my parent's Treadmill when is was on an incline.

Bath Time!
After not seeing Pat for three weeks we drove down to San Diego with Leta and her friends. It was really good to see Pat again. Andy was excited to see his Dad! I have to admit that I loved San Diego and really hope that Patrick gets to do his whole residency there.
7/17/10
There's nothing like playing on the Beach with Dad!

I am a little concerned with this boys fearlessness! He would run right towards a wave if we didn't stop him.

Dad I am cold so you go in and Carry me!

We also spent a day at Marine World. Andy sure does love those rides and the whales were cool too!
7/18/10
A family + a Walrus photo

Lets make this spin fast!

A father-son moment.

Andy was tired but he enjoyed the whale show especially when there was music or clapping.

All three whales in the show.
 7/19/10
Aunt Leta pushing Andy while we wait for everyone to pack up to go.  Patrick was already at the Hospital.
Like I mentioned before Andy really enjoyed playing with his Aunties, cousins and Grandparents. He liked the pool okay, but wasn't really comfortable in it until the end. Hopefully next summer he will enjoy it the whole time.
7/20/10
Loves for Auntie Malissa!

Watch out it's the Laundry Basket Monster....Roar!!

Andy finally going down the slide.

Group shot!

Ava, wearing this years pool fashion.

Look at those muscles!

My Parent's Water Slide!

Granddad is fun!
Next Post...The Christie Family Reunion in Utah. No promises when I will finish it.
