A "Sick" Day with Dad

We are finishing week 6 of Patrick's surgery rotation at Beth Isreal. It has been a long 6 weeks yet luckily it also goes by fast. We only have one more week and maybe a day of Patrick living in Manhattan, then he will move home to study and take his surgery shelf (exam). Andy and I both really miss Patrick. Last week we saw Patrick at the church on Wednesday, but Patrick was there for an activity with the Young men in our church and I was there for a Relief Society activity, so we didn't get to spend much time together. When Andy saw Patrick he went right too him and held on tight when Pat picked him up. I had to pry him off of Pat so Pat could go with the young men. Andy had tears and everything and he rarely tears up. After Pat was done he came to spend a little time with Andy. When we dropped Pat at the subway station Andy cried again as he waved goodbye and watched his dad cross the street in front of us. His reaction made me tear up too. He really does love his dad. Patrick worked all weekend so we didn't see him again until Sunday after church. Monday(3/8) Patrick did us a huge favor and declared it a "sick" day from his classes. We enjoyed a beautiful day at the zoo.

Thanks Patrick we needed a "sick" day with you!

I like those kind of sick days. It is wonderful to see my boys enjoy their babies so much. Love you all.

Thanks for sharing.
I liked the pics of the zoo animals. I have been to the zoo many times and wondered where the animals were.
See you soon!!!
