Lizzie's Blessing

Since our last post so much has happened, I barely know where to begin. I'll have to spend a few days catching up, so bear with me.

In August, we had Lizzie's blessing. Most of our respective families were able to make it down to sunny San Diego for the event, and we were thrilled to have everyone here. I was also able to arrange to have the entire day of the blessing off of work, which was a definite plus!

Elizabeth Carol. All I can say is, "Man, Julie and I make cute babies!"

Doesn't that smile just melt your heart?

Picture perfect!

Already tired. It's hard work looking this good! A well-deserved shout out to my Mom, who made Lizzie's blessing dress. Her skill and talent never cease to amaze me.

My two beautiful girls. I'm the luckiest guy this side of the Mississippi!

Lizzie with her namesake, Carol, who also happens to be my Mom. That's one proud Grandma!

A very proud Dad.

This is my favorite picture from the blessing. Both of those smiles get me every time!

Four generations. Wait until we get a five generation picture!

The Christie Clan. We miss you guys...when are you moving to San Diego?

The whole group just after the blessing. We were thrilled that so many family were able to make it for the blessing.

Grandma and Grandpa Nelson. Grandma Nelson has the touch...Lizzie went right to sleep in her arms.

Lizzie with Grandpa Nelson. She loved all the attention!

The Scarboroughs. I only wish the rest could have made it too.

The Nelson four generation picture. Thanks for coming down, Grandpa!

Once again, picture perfect!

We had a fantastic time with everyone during the blessing, and can't wait to see people again. We love visitors, so keep San Diego in mind when you make your travel plans!

That does it for the blessing. Up next...vacation in Idaho!

*A massive shoutout to my SIL, Erin, for the pictures. You are, quite simply, awesome.
