New Batteries!

The pictures I posted yesterday were old, so last night I took some pictures of Andy in his bouncer. Patrick even bought new batteries after reading the blog and now the music sounds much better!

Just a Little Creepy

I am wasting time reading blogs and planning a blog all about how Andrew has started to sleep about 8 hours at night, not every night but still very exciting. Yeah!!
(Picture below is him sleeping for a nap a few weeks ago.)
When all of the sudden the music on Andrew's bouncer starts playing. Andrew and I both love his bouncer as you can see from the pictures below. It has magical powers to entertain him for a good amount of time and often put him to sleep. Unfortunately right now it is in need of D batteries, which I keep forgetting to buy, so right now the music sounds like it belongs in a horror film. The fact that it randomly turns on all by itself just adds to the creepiness.

I NEED TO BUY A NEW BATTERY SOON!

Patricks 32nd Birthday

Alright so I spent all last night working on a post for Patrick's Birthday (which was a day late anyway) and it didn't turn out. I always struggle with getting the pictures where I want them. So this time I posted the pictures first but since I want to get this posted I won't try and re due the whole post from last night.

My husband is very special to me. We met in January of 2005, when we worked together as Bio100 teacher assistants. We started dating in October of 2005. Since then he has brought so much happiness into my life. He is a wonderfull husband and now an amazing father. I love to watch him with our son, he is so playful and loving with him. What joy they both give me. I am so glad that I get to be by Patrick's side as he grows old:). Happy Birthday a few days late Patrick! I Love You!

Thanks to restaurant week for making it possible to eat at an amazing restaurant that we couldn't afford other wise. We ate at The Waters Edge restaurant. It had a beautiful night view of the city. Our friends David and Jana Badger watched our little primate for us. Thanks!

We did get any photos of Patrick blowing out his candle during his lunch party with our friends, so we had to re due it when we got home from dinner.

Patrick and Andy before we left for dinner.

Our little "sailor" primate.
So happy on Daddy's birthday!
"Happy 32nd Birthday Daddy!!"

Blogging Goal

I have been pestering my mom and sister to post on there blogs more often so I can see pictures of the family. They kindly reminded me that they do not have husbands who post regularly. Patrick is very good at keeping records, he is the one who fills out the baby book, posts on our blog etc. I just reap the benefits, but I am realizing that I should be more involved in this, especially blogging if for no other reason then to be fair to my mother and sister when I am begging for a updated post. But also to let my voice be heard or found in the blogging world. My goal is to blog once a week...we will see how long that lasts. Your encouragement is welcome.

Confession

Don't let Pat know, but I love diaper changing time. I know it sounds funny. Andy is a typically happy boy, but he is almost always full of smiles and wiggles during a diaper change. Of course a diaper change normally starts out with some "complaining" as Andy lets us know that it is time, but once he is on his changing table he starts to play, smile, and coo. Of course, the actual diaper changing itself is gross (and I am sure it will get grosser as he ages)... but the happiness and joy of my baby boy when it is done makes it all worth it. Who wouldn't be happier with a clean diaper. This does not mean that I am unwilling to share this bonding time with Pat. I am one to promote good father/son relationships. :) Below are some diaper changing moments minus the gross part. Watch out for those lightning fast hands and feet.

Smiles

Andrew has been "socially" smiling for a couple of weeks now (as opposed to his previous "poopy" and "gassy" smiles), but it has been devilishly difficult to capture any of them on film. However, thanks to the mad camera skills of my sister-in-law and my own quick trigger finger, we have been able to catch a few photos of his heart-melting grin. Enjoy!

The Verdict is Still Out ...

The on going debate on who Andrew looks most like will last his life time. I do think he looks like Patrick. Here is a picture of Patrick at about 2 months old and Andrew at 5 weeks old. Same face shape, same nose...I will look to find a picture with his eyes open, because the eyes are the same too, except Andrew's eyes are still grey. They do have specks of brown in them though.
