A Tramatic Day at Fairy Tale Town

On July 9th Malissa and I took the kids to Fairy Tale Town. We were having a great time until Andy Hurt himself. We will have to try it again the next time we go to Sacramento. I was able to take some cute cousin pictures before the accident.
Cousins! We are just missing Ava!
The entrance of Fairy Tale Town!
Mary had a little Lamb!
Mattox wanted to "walk" Andy.
Andy wanted to push Ava!
There was an old woman who lived in a shoe...
This expression was on his face every time he slide down. He loved it and would clap at the end. He was so funny that he ended up with a very attentive audience who clapped for him. At one point he got to the top and clapped for himself until he had his audiences' attention and then he slide down with this same scared to death expression. It took a good while to pull him away from the slide and his audience. I should have video recorded this!
So Cute!
What a good big brother!
And a good big cousin.
There was a crooked toddler who walked a crooked couple of steps then had his mom carry him the rest of the mile over and over until she said no more.
This was the last picture I took at Fairy Tale Town. He came around the corner of this slide flipped around and crying. I grabbed him quickly and hugs him. When I looked at him more closely I realized he had a monstrous goose egg between his eyes. We got an ice pack.. which he refused to let me hold to his bump. While I contemplated taking him to the doctor, we exited Fairy Tale Town, Andy started to run around and play so we had lunch at the picnic benches outside of Fairy Tale Town, then since I hadn't heard from Pat and I wanted to be safe. I headed to the Doctor's. We got to the Doctor's office just as Pat called and asked me some questions. Then I left when we decided he was probably fine, without seeing the Doctor.
Posing for his Goose Egg picture.
My little Avatar baby! I just need to paint him blue!

Jelly Belly Factory, Elk Grove Park and Juice

We went to the Jelly Belly Factory with Malissa and the kids, and our friends Jeremy and Tamara and their three beautiful daughters. I wasn't able to get very many pictures but the kids sure enjoyed the free samples. (7/5/10)

We spent a lot of our time with Malissa, Kali, Mattox and Ava. What a blessing it was when Malissa finished her summer term and could play. (7/7/2010)
Andy taking turns with Ava jumping to Aunt Malissa.
Weeeee!
Pose for the picture!
Bounce, bounce, bounce!

It took a while but Andy and Ava became friends. (7/8/10)
Nothing like juice, a snack and a movie to bring two toddlers together!

Fourth of July 2010

We spent the Fourth at my parents house. We ate a lot and Andy enjoyed every moment of the fireworks. The only thing missing was Patrick. He was in San Diego.

Ava Loves Grandma!
The kids enjoying their hot dogs.
Andy and Ava enjoying their sodas...
Little did they know that their moms had switched the soda out ...
...for water!!
Andy loved the sparklers...mom was a little nervous for him.
Andy Loves Granddad and is pointing out the fireworks.
You ask, what is the best spot to watch fireworks?
On your Granddad's Shoulders of Course!!
The show from the backyard.
Round of applauds!

A Day at Granddad and Grandma's Cabin

My parents bought a cabin over a year a ago and they have been spending most of their weekends working on it. It is a fixer-upper but it is coming along nicely thanks to their hard work and those of their friends and family. Including Andy. (7/3/2010)

Andy loved helping Grandma rake the debris from the trees.

I Really Should Be Washing the Dishes

I really should be washing the dishes but since it has been so long since I last blogged and I still haven't finished putting up pictures from California I thought I would postpone the dishes and the laundry that needs to be folded for another time possibly tomorrow. Now all patiently waiting Grandparents here is your deluge of pictures.

On July 2nd, 2010 we had a fun filled day with the cousins and Andy's Aunt Malissa. First we went to the Sacramento Zoo. We had a good time even though we only saw the reptile house and the play area before the four kids two of them toddlers decided they were done and needed naps. After naps we went to Tigers yogurt and got frozen yogurt. Much to Granddad's disappointment Andy wanted nothing to do with the  yogurt...but he loved the chocolate sprinkles. Then we went to a very awesome playground. The kids had a blast climbing, swing, sliding and running around. ( I don't dare post captions at this point, I am still having problems posting pictures.)

Four Years!

Patrick and I celebrated our fourth wedding aniversary the weekend before we left for California by going out to dinner. Our actual aniversary, June 30th, was spend apart, he was in San Diego and I was in Sacramento. I did recieve several packages in the mail. One being these beautiful flowers. I can't beleive how much my love for Patrick has grown over these past four years and I thought I was in love when we got married.

UHGG UHGG

Alright so the reason I haven't posted anything in a few days is that I was working on a post and I got really frustrated with it. I kept trying to edit it but it was not working. I am now in the progress of starting over, if it works you will soon have more pictures from our California trip. If it doesn't it might take me a while to regain my blogging confidence.
