A Few Pictures from the Christie Family Reunion

From California we drove to Utah for the Christie Family Reunion. I had high hopes of taking lots of pictures but chasing Andy prevented this from happening. Luckily other people were taking pictures, hopefully someone can compile them for the rest of us. These pictures were from my camera.

We visited the Bingham Canyon Copper Mine. It was amazing!

This tire is from one of the trucks! Almost all of the family is in this picture. I think we are just missing Jamie and Delhia.

Andy with my cousin's daughter. He was so excited to climb up on and sit in this cart.

We stayed at a hotel at Thanksgiving Point. So we decided to walk around.
This machine was so cool you could pull levers, push button, etc. and water would shoot from different locations. It was right up Andrew's ally. He loved it!

We visited the Dinosaur Museum...well sort of. With four kids three under four we decided to enjoy the free exhibits and the gift shop.

Andy was bouncing his dinosaur ball all over the entrance room. And was looking forward to doing it some more after the picture was taken.

It was so fun seeing everyone. I hope that it works out to do another reunion soon!

Wrapping Up Our California Trip

I figured it was about time that I finished posting our pictures from California. It includes random pictures playing with cousins, aunts, grandparents, and a visit to San Diego to see Patrick.
7/15/10

Andy loved playing With Granddad's Motorcycle Helmet and the baby doll stroller. He was often caught with both. He particularly liked pushing the stroller off my parent's Treadmill when is was on an incline.

Bath Time!
After not seeing Pat for three weeks we drove down to San Diego with Leta and her friends. It was really good to see Pat again. Andy was excited to see his Dad! I have to admit that I loved San Diego and really hope that Patrick gets to do his whole residency there.

There's nothing like playing on the Beach with Dad!

I am a little concerned with this boys fearlessness! He would run right towards a wave if we didn't stop him.

Dad I am cold so you go in and Carry me!

We also spent a day at Marine World. Andy sure does love those rides and the whales were cool too!

Lets make this spin fast!

A father-son moment.

Andy was tired but he enjoyed the whale show especially when there was music or clapping.

All three whales in the show.

Aunt Leta pushing Andy while we wait for everyone to pack up to go.  Patrick was already at the Hospital.
Like I mentioned before Andy really enjoyed playing with his Aunties, cousins and Grandparents. He liked the pool okay, but wasn't really comfortable in it until the end. Hopefully next summer he will enjoy it the whole time.

Tea Party

My sister Malissa has been trying to organize a family book/reading club, but it is hard since I live in NY and both Malissa and Laura are in school. So while I was there she decided that we would have a tea party and talk about what we were reading or had just finished reading. Laura decided that it would be fun to dress up so we went to D.I and bought some floral dresses and got out my Great Grandma Christie's hats. We had delicious food and great conversion. It was a lot of fun. I can't wait to do it again!

My floral attire.
Party Crashers, really we invited them to enjoy the food, when we discussed our books they would listen and throw in a comment or two. Next time I think they should really join us,  floral dresses and all;) or maybe top hats.
Party Crashers in training actually they are gifted in their party crashing abilities.
Chilling with Granddad.
MMMM...I like popcorn and Granddad!
Four Generations of tea partiers...if you include Andy that is.
Kisses!

A Whirl Wind of Fun

I think we did something almost every day we were in California. On July 10 we spent the day a water park in Folsom, which I can't remember the name, I think it was Splash something. We had a wonderful time Andy loved that he could walk in it, he loved the slide and the water shooting and droping from everywhere around him.

On the 11th we went to the cabin.
This time Andy helped sweep and vaccume.

On July 12th Malissa and I took the kids to Discovery Kingdom and I discovered that my little boy loves rides!
Andy and I waiting in line for a ride.
The anticipation is just too much!
Riding in Harold
Hamming it up!
Everyone together.
Andy putting himself down for a nap.
A safari drive.
The view from the Safari Ride...luckily we didn't have to explain this one to the kids... this time... because none of them asked.
